Steven Jones is a specialist speaker and panel member in disability inclusion, offering bespoke speaking and engagement events for organisations across the public, private and third sectors. The sessions range from large-scale events for global audiences to focused, interactive sessions for leaders and managers.
Insightful, practical sessions designed to improve disability inclusion across organisations. Topics include Disability Awareness and the Social Model of Disability, building an internal disability-inclusive culture, and ensuring external services and communications are accessible, inclusive and compliant. Sessions draw on lived experience and professional expertise to drive meaningful, sustainable change.
Our talks explore key disability themes, including neurodiversity, mental health, invisible disabilities, long-term health conditions, and disability and ageing, blending facts, lived experience and practical guidance that audiences can apply in their everyday work and decision-making.
Wellbeing-focused sessions designed to support both professional and personal wellbeing. Topics include Building Resilience, Understanding Self and Others, and Divorce from Your Phone – Reclaim Time, Focus and Productivity, offering practical tools to manage stress, strengthen relationships, improve focus and create healthier boundaries.
We work with a diverse network of disabled speakers who share their lived experiences of disability, offering insight, perspective and practical learning for organisations.
Awareness-raising sessions that build understanding of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, combining medical context with lived experience. These talks explore daily life with SMA, treatment journeys, accessibility, and the importance of listening to patient voices in research, policy and service design.
Speaking events can be tailored to your organisation’s specific requirements, including addressing particular policies, accessibility barriers or diversity and inclusion challenges. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Steven was invited to speak at the 21st Annual Meeting of the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS) in Budapest, joining scientists, clinicians and patient representatives from around the world to explore the latest developments in RNA and DNA-based therapies.
The discussion focused on the realities of living with SMA Type 3, the decision-making process around treatment, the practicalities of lumbar puncture injections, and the impact of treatment on day-to-day life, including improved fatigue management, reduced pain, and greater stability. This was followed by a Q&A session.

Steven was invited to be part of a panel with Helen Cooke and Damian Riley to discuss embracing disabled talent as part of the Institute of Student Employers annual conference.
The discussion focussed on how to improve inclusivity for disabled talent through application and onboarding including asking if candidates need any adjustments with every communication and to provide examples of how you can support them to encourage trust.
